Most known for her role as Gisele Yashar in The Fast and the Furious film series as well as her part in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, on the 2nd June Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Wonder Woman. An upcoming superhero film based on the DC Comic character of the same name, Gal will star as Diana Prince/ Wonder Woman alongside Chris Pine who stars as Steve Trevor. The film is set in the early 20th century and Amazon princess Diana, is living on the island of Themyscira. She meets American military pilot Steve Trevor when he is washed ashore but after learning about the on-going events of World War I, she leaves her home to bring an early end to the war. Gal described her character as having, “many strengths and powers but at the end of the day, she’s a woman with a lot of emotional intelligence.” The Israeli actress and model has already starred as Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, yet how will her character differ? “We go back 100 years to when she’s more naïve… She’s this young idealist. She’s pure. Very different to the experienced, super-confident, grownup woman you’ve seen.” What’s more, Gal’s summer looks like it could be even better as in November last year, she announced that she was pregnant. The star posted a snap of her and husband Yaron Versano holding her bump on Instagram with the caption: “So excited to share this wonder with you...” The talented actress already has five-year-old daughter Alma with her husband, who she tied the knot with in 2008. On the 20th March, Gal took to Instagram for the second time to share some news. “And then we were four... She is here, Maya, I feel so complete, blessed and thankful for all the Wonders in my life.” The post was accompanied by a black and white photo, taken from behind, showing Gal holding hands with her husband Yaron Versano, as they walked alongside their daughter Alma in what appeared to be a hospital hallway. Previously gushing about her responsibilities, Gal said in an interview: “I was thinking about whether I should wait to have children but then I thought that if you’re more successful, you’re working even more…I’m very happy being a mother, you feel this incredible WONDER WOMAN RETURNS love and happiness that is different from anything else you’ve ever experienced.” Gal who celebrated her 32nd birthday last month has been ranked as one of the highest earning models in Israel but it hasn’t always been the glamourous life for the beautiful lady. She is a former Israel Defence Forces trainer and served in the Israeli army for two years. 2017 looks to be a great summer for Gal and we wish her the best of luck in both motherhood and in her new film.
